The MODERATE consortium includes stakeholders from a wide spectrum of the building industry, both as data providers and potential end-users for the data analytical services provided through the platform. The figure you see here provides a preliminary list of tools which will be available through the platform which are currently being further fine-tuned for more tailor-made functionality for the end-users.

Use Case 1

Energy / Facility Managers

As a Energy / Facility Manager of a building stock:

Predict the interventions (O&M) on the systems (facilities) they manage, aiming to reduce the time and cost of the interventions (Energy Conservation Measure application).
Provide alerts or advice to plan in advance mitigations of faults or unwanted cost/service or power outages (Fault Detection and Energy Forecasting).
Optimize building systems operation using AI-based services, data mining and pattern recognition tools (Energy Systems Optimization).

As the energy / facility manager of a municipality:

Have an overview about the actual energy and comfort performance of their buildings (Geoclustering tool).
Plan maintenance interventions according to the building and systems features/performance (Energy Conservation Measure application).
Maximize performance of existing systems (Energy Systems Optimization, KPIs).

Use Case 2

Utility Companies

Understand customer requirements and their energy use better-knowledge aiming to create new products and services, such as specific demand-side programs that reduce electricity peaks. (KPIs).
Improving the quality of the service by reducing possible faults or errors of the grid (Fault detection and forecasting).
Identify the potential areas for the development of Local Energy Communities (LECs) to support decarbonization and energy transition. Developing policies that are based on tools that are easy for the citizen to use and operate, but which are more reliable for improving the performance of the built park (EPC Harmonization).

Real Estate Developers
